The Lackey Clinic

The Lackey Clinic is an organization within our Yorktown community that provides free health care to people who cannot afford health care and do not have health insurance. The Clinic serves approximately 5,000 people in the Yorktown, Poquoson, Newport News, Williamsburg, James City County area. The Clinic does not accept Government funding and, therefore, can offer this service as Christian outreach. The Clinic is funded by personal donations, donations from Churches and other Christian charities.

In order to provide these services, Volunteers are needed. You don’t have to be a Doctor or a Nurse. Volunteers are needed to provide clerical support, to screen new applicants requesting support, to maintain the facilities, data entry, etc.   If you are interested in volunteering, applications are available in the Grace Church office. Or, you can print an application by going to http://lackeyclinic.org/. Click on “Volunteers” in the left column and then click on “Apply Today.” Fill out the application and mail it to the address at the top. If you have any questions, you may contact me or the Volunteer Coordinator at the Clinic, Kim Spencer at(757) 886-0608.
