This sorrowful day has long been remembered as a day of grief and mourning. We would like to support the idea of turning that grief into service by undertaking a large outreach event on that Saturday which all of Grace Church can enthusiastically get behind, young and not-so-young alike. We plan to undertake several service projects for the Park Service here in Yorktown, followed by a picnic at Grace Church. There should be plenty of opportunities to participate, either working on-site, providing refreshments to workers or helping with a picnic afterwards. Please save the date and watch for more information as it becomes available. We hope to see as many parishioners as possible jump in and get involved. Maybe by our actions we can turn sadness into blessing.
